  1. maybe this will you ford is the one that negotiate this package not the reps ford wanted to give us more but was turned down because it wasnt right that GM and Chrysler wasnt getting anything, thats not our fault that they took the government money( this was heard thru the grapevine) but if this is true what right does the union have taking it away
  2. ( 1) you thnk ford is going to give us all them bonuses ( 2) ,you think we will get the new work ( 3) ,you think they will cap 2 tier, well heres a pretty picture of what can happen and i believe it will ( 1} ford can come in and take those bonuses away just like they have in the past (2) they can always take the work and move it somewhere else (3) 2 tier will become uncapped and they will never move into 1 tier wages, this is eliminating middle class plus people like us that are 1 tier pays for retiree wages now if 2 tier stays in 2 tier they will have to make their own retirement plus will where our retirement come from? ford eventually wants to get rid of paying retirement wages.once they get the 2 tier uncapped they will bring in more to out vote us then our wages will come down to theirs. ford will ask the union officials to come back to us and take it all away as they have in the past, people this is not greed to want to survive in this economy, we need to send a strong message to both union officials and ford motor co.we need our cola to survive the inflation that will never go away.by voting yes on this contract its showing that we are greedy, because they like to dangle that carrot in front of our face, plus its showing that we are week by accepting their offer again and letting them pocket even more.ford is in the bussiness of making money and union officials will get something for us to ratify this contract. we the people are the union, company and union officials like to sleep together and will get us to agree on anything they put in front of us. for the rest of the plants that have not voted yet we need to stand strong and vote no.
  3. If you would have read what he wanted this is exactly what I gave him Just info I know you have to be eligible to take any of the packages they are offering. he wanted the info I gave him more than anyone else possibly could have especially since i gave him the web sight to find out. Just like me I cant take the pre retirement because I have missed the deadline but there was a second option due to plant closings.
  4. With ths package you have to turn 50 yrs of age before the end of nov, and have 10 or more years credited service. This will provide unreduced life income benefits. Theres a web sight fidelity.com click united auto workers in the left hand column this will take you where you need to go to access your income for the month, once you do this you have three totals the first is what ford pays you 2ond is what your spouse would get when you die 3rd is your payment that social security would kick in at that certain age. so you would take the 1st and 3rd column add that thats what you would get then when you turn that certain social security that 3rd column would drop off and ss will pick this up. the 2ond column is solely if you want your spouse to recieve any of your pention which you can decide if you want 100%, 65% or whatever this figure will add up once you add what percentage. I hope this helps you. Go to that web sight and enter all your info, it will figure it out for you, if not you can call and ask questions. almost forgot on this web sight there are 2 options you need to do both not that the income will be different but due to eligibility you may be eligible for at least one of them.
  5. Who has temps in their plants? , and how many
  6. Rumor also has it that AAI hired upper reps kids in the year 2005, Funny how people are waiting on jobs with these plant closings , but its ok to hire upper unions kids to take our spots
  7. Rumor also has it that AAI hired some upper and lower reps kids in 2005, funy how plants were closing but there is room for their kids while there are people sitting waiting for jobs.
  8. Are there any layoffs at your plant? we heard that skilled trades were layed off but yet they are taking skilled from our plant to yours. what about production workers/ are there any temps? we are also being told that your union reps dont want outsiders coming into your plant. we are all in the same spot, looking for some place we can go. not all of us are bad workers. any info you can provide will be helpful. Thanks
  9. Has anyone thought that just maybe even thou that the window does not close until the 27th that maybe they are just reporting the #"s they have in so far. This is just to see where they are at as to hoe many has signed up so far and how many more they need???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  10. where are you getting the # of people from, i'm trying to find out to and can't seem to get anyone to tell the truth last I heard we had 3 hundred then all of a sudden we have 1 hundred ( taking packages)
  11. Talking about deadbeats how would you like it if they fired these deadbeats 5 times or better and bring them back every time? This is whats stinks while the people who want to work and is there everyday gets shit on by union and company. We also have those higher seniority people who lets the lines go down , and walk off their job whenever they want to. Then you have those who are on restrictions that if they dont get the job they want threaten discrimination. Last but not least you have those who just wants to do certain jobs and if they dont get what they want they purposely break the lines. So I have seen just about everything that goes on even to bring somebody back thats been fired 5 times just to get the byeout!!!! While the rest of us who bust our ass and watch for our quality suffers and wonders if we'll even get a transfer, While these so called losers will rob us of a job to those who want to work. I feel sorry for those plants who will be recieveing these people. The ones on full blown restrictions will have them removed long enough to get the transfer and then go right back on them when they are in their new home. So whats wrong with this picture?
  12. doing it at our plant to,funny they dont want to be there any other time , but when it comes to something like this they want their job back. I say keep them out and let them fend for themselves after all they got themselves into that mess why should they be bailed out exspecially when they get fired 5 times.
  13. how are you getting the numbers for the buyouts? Are you getting them from your union? because we are told there is'nt any way to calculate how many buyouts there are, so we should just take the package and get out . sounds like a kick back to me.
  14. Iwas also told you had to be on the active roll, because with the layoffs coming there was some people worried about that too.
  15. all i know if paul kosaian comes to your plant it very well could close, the jersey people that transfered to our plant said he was there and look what happened. he came to our plant and said he would get back with us in 90 days and look what happened. just trying to give a little heads up. this man knew from the beginning when he came the first time what was going to happen( once again makes you sit on needles and pins for 90 days) this is a game to them. they dont care about people or families lives. when is the next anouncement for closings? would like to possibly transfer to woodhaven or aai but was told that if you dont have at least 20 yrs i won t get a transfer. i have 11.5 yrs. im from msp also our plant manager came from alot of plant closings ( sounds like a conspiracy to me).
  16. I can tell you one thing when paul kosaian comes to your plant it will close, this guy will come in take a look around and tell you he will get back with a decision in 90 days, when all along that first plant visit he knows then if it's going to close or not. the jersey people that transfered into our plant said he visited them and look what happened. he is the director, stamping bussiness unit. the only way he might not enter your plant if ford gets ahold of this post and they sneak someone else in his place.one thing for sure i never thought they would close us with the fact they we always made them money. whens the other anouncements going to come? I have 11.5 years with the co and still up in arms with what yo do. I feel cheated with all the hard work to keep our place in tacked long before the way forward plan. Im hearing if you don't have a least 20 years you might as well take the buyout.
  17. At msp the same thing is done except if its a real emergency you pull the alarm and the meat wagon comes to get you. the reason this is happening is because people say they are going to med and never show up there, they wander off someplace else. Im sick of everybody else ruining it for the ones that really have a legitamate reason to go to medical.
  18. anyone heard anything on woodhaven or aai? would there be transfers to any of those plants or are they closing too?
  19. no they did not,was thinking about it but is closing instead
  20. maumee is a stamping plant and yes its closing by 08?
  21. The letter we received said plants to be idled or ceased ,does this mean that there is a possibility that ford could re-open the plants that are idled later on down the road? where It seems to me that if they are closing its doors they would re-phrase idled into closing with no possibility at all of getting back your job, where as if the plant is just idled (not for sale )they might have another plan in mind like maybe bringing people back for lower wages.Any answers?
