  1. Anyone know the exact verbage on the deal with "A Plan" once you've taken the buyout? I left Ford in 02/2006 with the 100k buyout. I thought I was supposed to lose privileges...I just recently logged on to find out that I have 5 A Plan pins and 8 X Plan pins available. Anyone have any insight? Thanks and good luck with the new contract negotiations.
  2. That sounds like best case scenario. I wouldn't be surprised to hear they are told "Thanks for your services, Goodbye."
  3. Definately NOT! You have to remember there is life after Ford. As long as you have a plan, you'll be fine. I took advantage of ETAP while I was employed with Ford. They paid for my college education...and now I'm 2 weeks out from graduating the Police Academy. I very excited to begin my new career and wish all that take a buyout good luck.
  4. Must be an active employee....That means she must be able and ready to work to be eligible for the buyout. It's amazing how quickly some people will recover from their disabilities!
  5. Just be worried if you get Mona Reinhart... She is the team's # 1 closer.
  6. Mine has been collecting interest for months now!
  7. I wouldn't be suprised if you will soon see an F100.
  8. It USED TO BE yellow. I have seen many bicycles change colors in the matter of seconds.
  9. The best way to answer that question is to roll the dice or flip a coin....Because noone at this point in time can predict the future any better than these methods. Sorry to say that, but that's why I took the buyout already and have already begun a new career in Law Enforcement, which I can thank Ford Motor Company for paying for my college tuition which led me to this new career. Good luck to everyone within FoMoCo with what is to come. Hope for the best but expect the worst.
  10. I'm glad to see that people are finally seeing the light and getting out while there is actually something being offered. 2007=No guarantees!
  11. Very nice looking car HotRod Harry! I hope Sansone didn't rape you too bad for it!
  12. New Ranger most likely will end up in the Rouge "TRUCK" plant
  13. Dealerships are independently owned. Sounds like the dealership was trying to overcharge him...not FMC
  14. What I meant by basic medical coverage was Dr. visits and hospitalization. No eye care or Dental. I'm not sure about maintenance meds. These are questions you better ask when the International and Ford come to your plant to present the packages. I did not ask these questions b/c I was not concerned with it. Since my wife has very good benefits and I am hopefully getting into a new career very soon.
  15. Same thing with the idiots getting fired for drug use and being hired back months or even years later.
  16. They give you a window of 3-6 weeks but said it would most likely come sooner.
  17. NOTE: Each PIN is valid only for a single purchase or lease and may be used solely in the U.S. Only you are authorized to request a Plan Approval (PIN) under your eligibility. PINs expire, if not used, one year from approval. This was taken right from www.axz.ford.com
  18. They aren't actually stopping it for the ex-employee and allowing family members to use it. You have always been able to generate a pin# and it expires 1 year later. So I was just suggesting to anyone leaving....find out from familly members if they have any intention of buying a new vehicle...and give them a pin #. Sure, I'd love to confirm, if I had the check. I have not received it yet.
  19. You are given 6 months of basic health care. (Eye, Dental are history.) A plan privileges are stopped. But you can generate pins for family members and X plan pins for friends and they are good for one year before expiring. You are entitled to whatever pension you have accrued after being vested at (I believe) age 62. As far as, is it worth it for a person with 15+ years....that's up to that person. You have to sit down and do some research. Everyone is different. I took the buyout. But I also took advantage of ETAP over the last few years and got my Criminal Justice degree. Mind you I only had a little over 6 years of seniority and I didn't want to relocate. Hope this helped a little bit.
  20. That's not to credible of a rumor, since noone has received them. Even though I'd be happy with that after taxes.
  21. I believe you can find this information on your last year's summary statement that the company supplied you with.
