NLPRacing
This can't be good for sales: E-SERIES 6.0L DIESEL SUPPLY ISSUE ANNOUNCEMENT This notice is to inform you of a diesel engine supply issue which affects the 6.0L diesel engine that is currently offered in the E-Series vans, wagons and cutaways. We can no longer accept orders which include this engine. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our dealers, customers, and pool accounts. All orders will show on Material Hold effective Wednesday, February 7th. When will the 2008 be ready? When will the 6.4 be available? Apparently, not soon enough... fordmatt21
navistar has stopped shipping these engines to ford so that is probably the supply issue. this also affects the 6.4 and 4.6 diesels in the super duty. as for the 08 i have no clue when its coming but soon i'd expect. phrog
I heard today that ford and navistar worked out a deal for the 6.0 we will so though. But will the 6.0 meet the new emission specs for diesels?
shadowcat
But will the 6.0 meet the new emission specs for diesels? Obviously or they wouldn't make any.
theoldwizard
Obviously or they wouldn't make any. Not so obvious ! This one of those EPA "credit" deals. Because the 6.4L exceeds the current standard, Ford can continue to put 6.0L in E-Series. At least for a short period. Don't expect a diesel back in the E-Series until 2010-11 and it will be the new "mid-size" at first. Look for the "all new", Ford designed, big diesel in 2012.
