Alcibiades
Does anyone know if the rear axle ratio on the 2008 1/2 Grand Marquis has been changed from 2.73 (say to 3.27) to compensate for the larger wheels? Thanks for any information you might have.
Alcibiades
Since no one has responded, I will add that yesterday I downloaded the current sales brochure for the Grand Marquis, and it shows 17" wheels (225-60-17 tires), and a 2.73 RAR. Thus, it appears that they did not adjust the axle ratio to compensate for the increased wheel/tire size. If so, the new ones will be slower off the line, but will cruise at a slightly lower RPM
