BORG
Strange to see a Ford Pickup in Europe. I wonder why they are bothering with so few units sold.

Ford Jellymoulds
Ford Ranger is the star turn sales up 200%, it amazes me how Ford still don't sell the Ranger in EU countries like Cyprus where every other vehicle is a pick-up yet they offer every Ford Car that sell next none, talk about targeting your market. FOE still including Non-EU countries Russia & Turkey in monthly spill when nobody else does. Gotta say l might be buying a new diesel Ranger before they stop production in 2010. I just can't understand why Ford are discontinuing the fuel efficient Ranger it just does not make sense. Good news for FOE in the UK the new gas guzzler "Showroom tax" of $2000 on new cars, that became law today will not affect a single Ford car so it will be another good reason to buy a Ford, the 225kg Co2 law comes into force in 2009. jobu37
I'm glad to hear that Ford is up 5.4% but it would mean more to me if I knew what the overall market was up. Does anyone (Jellymoulds?) have access to that information? thanks

RichardJensen
8.1% market share is actually a bit down from where they were a year ago, IIRC.
jpd80
When it could sell great here... If you like that, wait till you see its replacement, the T6 being designed by Ford Australia. Edited March 12, 2008 by jpd80
jpd80
8.1% market share is actually a bit down from where they were a year ago, IIRC. Depends on product mix, Ford is reducing dsales to rental fleets globally. Maybe improved profits on the back of less sales?
