Hi,

First let me say that with about 7,000 miles on our FEH that it is a great SUV.

We purchaced the SUV with out the NAV unit as it put the price to high for us.

Can a factory NAV be added?

Can I get a Unit from the Junk Yard or ebay and just plug it in with the new dash piece?

Thanks for the help.

You might be able to if you can find a new Ford Hybid in a yard w/ NAV, not sure if an older unit would plug in. Of course the other more logical idea IMHO would be to just get a Garmin, Tom Tom, etc. They've come down in price (under $300 now for a nice unit) and are portable!

There is a rather complicated wiring harness/controller that goes into the factory nav system to allow it to read the battery output, so installing one would not be a simple. I'm using a portable Garmin on my hybrid, and enjoy it a lot. The frequent map updates and points of interest are handy!
