wildosvt
It is disturbing, But this is for the month of May only. Its not like its for the whole model year. But times are changing.
Pumpmaster
This doesn't ease the pain of lower sales, but it's good news nonetheless: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../806040449/1148. The huge drop in truck and SUV sales suks for us, but we gotta build what customers want---not what we wish they'd buy. Build the Fiesta at Wayne! 98shotoy11
Exactly...how do you expect people to buy trucks that get 15-17mpg when you can buy a car that gets double that? I mean gas is only 4.00 a gallon.
OK
I'm actually in the market for a new truck because I really need a truck. Ford is only offering a $3500 rebate and I see '07 Lariats and FX4s for slightly over $20k. Unless Ford ups the ante real soon, I'll have to go used. OAC_Sparky
It's funny that the article is titled: F-Series loses No. 1 sales spot And they emphasize: In May, F-Series sales plummeted 30.6%, to 42,973 Yet: Sales were off 42% for the Chevrolet Silverado, 37% for the Dodge Ram and 31.5% for the Toyota Tundra. So, when we're talking apples to apples (ie. TRUCKS ), Ford actually saw the SMALLEST drop of any manufacturer INCLUDING TOYOTA ( on top of the fact that the Tundra already sells like shit ). Of course, that headline wouldn't sell any newspapers. The toilet paper that is the Detroit Free Press need all the help it can get, I guess.
