blksn8k2
Got some sort of bad news today. The internet sales specialist at a local dealer sent me this message: "Sorry it took so long, your resources seem to be much better than mine! ( if you ever need a job, let me know - smile) Yes sir, the code is 617. It is stating it will not become available until Summer of 2006. June at the earliest. So if you ordered now, the option cannot be put on until then. I'm sorry. Let me know if you should have any questions." If she is right it looks like I won't be placing an order for at least another month.
Calvin@LAP
I checked on the power rear window tonight. We have the stock but are not installing them yet. It looks like June could be a possibility.

When I checked Ford's website today under the Sport Trac option list they show two different dates for the Power Down Rear Window. Under COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE is states "July availability", but under WINDOWS AND GLASS they say "available May 1".

Calvin@LAP
I did check on this. I just forgot to put it on here. They were putting some of the rear power windows in but not at full production yet. I do know of some customers have ordered ST's with the power rear window option. This is old information though. I'll check on it Monday night and get back with ya. I know what your thinking...yeah right!

Calvin@LAP
Yeah right....LOL Oh wait, I just realized it's been a whole month since you promised that. Exactly which Monday were you referring to? LOL...you got me. You wouldn't believe how many e-mails and pm's off of message boards asking me about the power backlight in the Sport Trac. I just forgot I had put that in this thread. Good news. We are running 90% power rear windows on the Sport Tracs since last Friday(6/2/06). I just got off the phone with the operator that installs them and he said they are still running at that rate. So order away.

Only negative was that my sister almost stepped on a rattler in Zion National Park. Scared the crap out of her but I did get some video after it had crawled under a rock ledge and coiled up. Anyway, my saleslady e-mailed me a few days ago and also confirmed that the Power Down Rear Window is now available. So, what do you guys think of this combo? 07 Sport Trac 4x4 Limited V-8 Exterior Color: Silver Birch Clearcoat Metallic Interior Color: Dark Charcoal Audiophile Sound System (6-disc CD, etc.) Leather Seats Satellight Digital Audio Receiver Cargo Cage Bed Extender Class III/IV Towing Package Power Moonroof Power Down Rear Window Hard Tonneau Cover
