kcmiller
We have an '06 Freestar that occasionally sounds like it has a fan rubbing ( metal against metal). It only happens about once a week and the dealers can't figure it out. We had an '02 Windstar that did the same thing! Just wondering if any other van owners have had the same problem and what they found out.

avi8or63
We have an '06 Freestar that occasionally sounds like it has a fan rubbing ( metal against metal Need more information. Is it idling? While driving? Where does it come from? Fans are a plastic composite. In order for the fans to run the engine must be hot or the air conditioning is on. Could it be a squealing belt? PFA
We had an 04, I am so glad that damn thing is gone..., that sometimes right after starting it, the AC would kick in and it made a grinding noise. I thought the compressor was going bad. Had about two years and never did. Dealer said they never heard any noise.. :boring:
