joyland
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between each job number?
Sportscraft
Usually the job number just refers to a mid-year shift where they've added/changed some features for the current year production. Especially if they've had any major issues, they'll usually make that change mid year rather than wait until the next model year. I believe the 08's had 3 job builds, and the back up camera for example was only available on the job#3 models. joyland
Thanks for the response, I just purchased a F-250 6.4l, the date inside the door was 10/07, they told me this is a job 2 and it has the backup camera. I wonder if there are any other changes made that help performance, (like mpg ) and if so can the dealer make these changes for me?

It's usually standard equipment changes or price changes.
StevenCaylor
I believe they can. IIRC, one of the Job 3 changes was making a 3.54 rear end available instead of the standard 3.73. Of course, you'd have to pay for this change.
