156n3rd
Will they be able to continue with this success? How come this did not make the Forbes list? Edited April 28, 2006 by Frank J. Raniere
bec5150
I like the RWD cars that DCX is offering, but living up North where the snow and ice are abundent in the winter, I wouldn't give a nickel for a RWD car.
tim kakouris
they should keep doing well, they are nice cars. they may need some periodic updating. i'm wondering what sort of facelift is going to work on them? sort of a unique look already, it will probably be tough to follow up. foxrun
Isn't there another article in these forums that says DCX's fleet sales have ballooned to 43%. I wonder how much of that is 300 sales?

I think you meant 34%...that's what the article said. If the 300's fleet sales are similar to what they were a couple of months ago, they should account for 25-30% of total 300 sales, from what I can remember. Still pretty impressive sales, though. Ya but a third not really being SOLD impresses you exactly why? DCX is a one trick pony with a third of its success just fluff, so WTF? blackhawk_88
Ya but a third not really being SOLD impresses you exactly why? DCX is a one trick pony with a third of its success just fluff, so WTF? One-third of the 300s currently being sold to rental fleets doesn't impress me. The fact that the 300 has sold 300,000 overall since '04 has impressed me (and I would be willing to bet that less than a third of overall 300 sales since '04 are not fleet, though that will change as 300s are dumped further into rental lots). Basically, I expected the 300 to bomb sales-wise when it debuted, so the fact that it took off at all shocked me. On the other hand, I agree that DCX is a one trick pony (outside of minivans, and arguably the Ram post-1994) EDIT: My last post wasn't very clear...hope this explains my point Edited April 30, 2006 by blackhawk_88
llog215
I don't know. 300,000 sales in 25 months doesn't sound like they're setting the world on fire. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad just no worthing of a lot of praise, especially considering the percentage going to fleets.
