fredm54
I ordered and should be picking up my new 2006 Mustang GT in a couple weeks. I never asked about the included floor mats! What are the factory floor mats like? Are they carpeted or rubber? Any embroidery or logo? Can anyone upload a picture? thanks! Fred
Bama GT
There isn't much to them. They're carpet and match the color of the seats. There is no logo or embroidery, except on the V6 Pony Package.
Guest Sixcav
Yeah, theres not anything fancy about them fred. You'd be just as well off getting a nice set of floor mats from just about any auto parts store.
fredm54
Thanks for the info, I'll probably upgrade them asap!
Bama GT
You might consider the Pony Package and GT/CS floormats. They have a nice billet MUSTANG badge on them.
ford4v429
factory mats have hole that goes over hook in carpet- but carpet is pathetically thin, and betcha within a week your hook will be standing on edge, beginning to pull out of carpet...I unkooked mine, just slide it back daily, as even if hooked, it eventually will slide forward after tearing carpet, sticking throttle possibly... no room in rear for mats as seat tracks go within couple inches of rear seat...kinda odd that seat can be adjusted back to where it touches rear seat- like didnt someone measure this? really although its already 'big' externally, the rear footwells shoulds been about 3" longer in rearward direction. my kids are small, and I'm only 5'8", but there is like no legroom...kids gotta turn feet sideways to get shoes under seat getting in/out...oops.
