aneekr
When cross comparing databases you can pretty much come up with any result you want. Makes for high impact headlines, but really pretty meaningless. Absolutely. I know that Forbes magazine has gained notoriety in doing this (e.g., in comparing cities, countries, and other political entities among other things). Lo and behold, Forbes was behind this effort to take otherwise meaningful information from Vincentric, J.D. Power, and Consumer Reports, mix it together, and come up with a list of dubious value.
