Ford Jellymoulds
Can't say the G8's with piss poor sales of just 2,404 in July Stateside will save GM, the British Leyland Austin 1100 was billed as the car that would save them with the best handling in class with its hydrolastic suspension, it failed to sell because Europe rocked to sound of trusty crossflows in Capri's-Cortina's and Escorts that had bags of mojo, G8 has zero mojo just like the Austin 1100 which helped hammer another nail in British Leylands Coffin. Ford Ka & Fiesta look a million times better than the models that they replaced and Ford of Europe are being rewarded for it with a big increase in sales. Old GM-New GM-Old GM same ole boring G8 shit nothing as changed except the badge on the grille, one small step not a giant leap for mankind. Fritz is gonna save GM by selling cars on eBay, and Bob brings back the G8 as a Chevy to save GM which will no doubt will do 230 MPG once Bob has got his MPG fuel calculator out. GM's good ole classic Silverado pick-up is all thats helping to keep GM's head above water lets hope the two clowns don't bugger it up. You could not make this stuff up but it keeps me amused. Of those sales the only ones reaping genuine profits are trucks and larger SUVs (& GMC Trucks). It confounds me how GM avoids doing important changes to its volume products and wastes time and effort on fringe products that add precious little to the bottom line. The days of trucks and SUVs subsidising their other vehicles are gone and if GM bosses think that they can go back to their old way, they are sadly mistaken and in for another rude shock.
