Hymdog=XP=
No, because Chicago is already slated for the New Explorer. Try again :shades: Then wouldn't make sense to build the ranger at chicago also? Edited August 25, 2009 by Hymdog=XP=
WayneGirl1970
This is what is going to happen!!!! The ranger is not coming here(DTP). The F-150 is going to leave KC by 2011 and DTP will build the F-150. The whole F-150. KC will lose the Truck and get the new explorer and the transit van. Now doesn't that make sense. Suppose to retool at DTP end of 2009 early 2010 for the single cab and 8ft box. Per the plant letter we received the week before vacation. DTP is not being retooled letter stated it was a "huge rumor".

thezip
Chicago isn't building the ranger either. Try again. The Ranger could possibly be built at WAP.There was a RUMOR that WAP would remain open after MAP is online.

AnotherAutoWorker
Also heard truck side will go to 5-10s with several Saturdays as well. If theres that much overtime for the truck side then why move the b shift to suv? Just have suv side also go 10 hrs + saturdays so all 4 shifts on both sides are all working OT... and avoid all the moving around. That just doesn't seem to make sense. The SUV system IS working 10 hours per day and every other Saturday at present. The company has also requested a couple "voluntary" Saturdays. Current schedule calls for pretty much every other Saturday until the end of the year. As always, subject to change.
AnotherAutoWorker
It makes alot of sense!!! FORD does not want OT...........Why pay OT when DTP can run 3 crews instead of having rotating downweeks....If FORD would lay people off from KCAP maybe then you guys wouldn't bitch about having to move around......you would just be glad to be working!!! General always the fucking asshole. I wasn't bitching about a damn thing BROTHER I was simply asking a question. Why don't you going join your pal and best buddy CAPTAIN and go cry in a corner. No one needs you or your attitude on this forum.
