Jas51102
for those of us that have ordered an Ecoboost engine in the '11 F150. Just like to know how much boost the truck is getting and when.

With everything else displayed, I was realy surprised not to see a display for the boost.

scooter21
I think a boost gauge would be a great idea as well. I was surprised when I found out there wouldn't be one. Just a guess, but they probably figured that it wasn't very important to the average buyer.
RangerM
While they're at it, make the oil gauge a real oil gauge, and not just a dummy gauge.
djansma
I too would like a boost gauge
zydico
Agree completely. A boost gauge is a necessity if you have a turbo. I'll bet aftermarket will come out with something quickly since ecoboost will be flooding the market.

It would be a nicety, but really, a factory turbo setup should operate pretty transparently to the operator and shouldn't need any additional monitoring. I currently don't have a boost gauge in my blown Cobra, and it really doesn't need one, but I do plan to add one sometime in the future. I liked to watch it on my Power Stroke but you can't do anything to change the amount of boost anyway- other than use a lighter foot. If you have the 4.2" display just watch the green fuel economy bar. If its high, boost is low. If it's low boost is high and you are drinking the fuel. Having said that, it should have been included in the display.
