BORG Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) Ford and GM are particularly fond of these type of press releases, telling us what they are working on when there is no product schedule on the table. It then translates into human-interest news and puts emphasis on the fact that they are indeed engineering solutions to an issue on which Ford has been heavily criticized. I understand why they do it, but I just hate R&D press releases because they are a sales tactic on a product they aren't actually selling.
