Company had spent a ton of money expanding the place for a new product line. Then the bottom fell out. They were going to close the place. Unbelievable. I've seen it before, will see it again. Thing was, they had just completed a good size expansion to produce 4 cylinder engine blocks, heads, etc., and they were in fact producing them. Huge downturn, laid off half the plant then in a year the rest, then mothballed. At the time we basically got squat, no GEN, no GIS. Folks didn't want to hire you, if only for the fact that they knew if the company came calling you’d quit and go back to work for them.
