Ranzou
It doesn't make sense to me that you can get 3rd row Powerfold seats in a Limited, but not in the Sport. Seems like the Sport is the flagship of the Explorer line. But from an ordering perspective, it's an XLT 202A with extra stuff, just like the Limited. The Limited seems to offer more luxury options, most of which are now available in the Sport according to the August 1, 2012 Order Guide (minus Active Park Assist, HID lights, and rain sensing wipers). Did the engineers simply run out of wiring harness's or is this a major oversight?
hindy
We just placed our order for the Sport and to be honest, I didn’t go for most of the optional stuff. Besides the towing package and the BLIS (wife wanted the inflatable seatbelts), I didn’t need all the extra electrical options….just more to break down the line. I really needed the 3.5 ecoboost for the mountain driving in Colorado. Edited August 9, 2012 by hindy
rscalzo
One of the things that pissed me off about the newer Explorers is getting stuck with the third row seat that I'll never use.
mashford
I agree. I thought the Sport was the top end model. Yet HID & Power 3rd row are not basic options of the 402a package.
