Thank you for this information. The dealership is "trying" to find the vehicle now. If not for your status they would have continued to tell me that it was not there. Now my fear is that it was sold out from under me... Don't understand why they don't have it. Again thank you and I appreciate all of your help.

Hello First, I appreciate and value the service you are providing. I actually learned a lot due to the 10 rule post and intend to hang around. A lot of good information is posted here. I am hoping you can tell me where my vehicle is. I know it is in transit and was built on 3/8. The dealer continued to tell me the week of 3/11 up to this Saturday. I agree. I thought the Sport was the top end model. Yet HID & Power 3rd row are not basic options of the 402a package.

I ordered a 2013 Explorer Sport for my wife. Dealer is stating that the truck would be here this week. Today is exactly 6 weeks and no sign of the truck. When I call the dealer,they just quote the same info from the past 2-3 weeks. "Should be something the week of the11th". I would except in our modern world of information on demand, that dealers would have a better tracking system. Then again maybe it is not the lack of a system versus the lack of good customer service. I heard from another dealership that if you ordered the DVD package then your truck would/could be delayed. Apparently the DVD system manufacture is behind hence truck orders with this feature are delayed.

Expecting to take possession of a 2013 Explorer Sport next week. Excited about the truck, disappointed with the lack of HID and power fold 3rd seat.

Thanks for the heads up. It sounds like more of a habit forming behavior. I would expect the vehicle to roll BUT I would have expected a warning of some sort once you turned the car off (while not in park).
