Battery / Electrical Question
rscalzo replied to Stentgraft95's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
It will indicate a full charge based on the battery's condition. But the full charge is less than full capacity. the batteries five years old. It's done. Get a new one because getting stuck is going to cost a lot ,more. Few actually know how to properly test a battery, nor do they have the equipment. My wife's died with no warning in her 2010 escape. Yret the one in my 08 was fine until the day I traded it a few months back. -
Mitsubishi has a thriving motor vehicle business overseas. The US market was never very large for them. Their holdings are in every segment of the economy . This is a minor affair to them. Much of their holdings aren't in their name. You cite the Chrysler joint effort yet failed to mention the one with Ford years ago. today their market in much larger in Japan and supply engines for more than a few brands. This isn't going to cause them much loss of sleep.

Ford critic Donald Trump is investor in automaker

So move it all down there. No unions and costs will be cut by a third. Of course many here will be unemployed. -
Winter fuel blends and the cold weather makes the engines less efficient. Seemed odd to me at first because I would have tought the colder air was denser but it didn't matter. Yet the oil temps are thinker and create more friction to some degree. https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/coldweather.shtml

I got mine from the local NAPA. There are two versions One for the auto temp and one for the manual.. I used this video as a primer. It took about ten minutes total when you have the correct tools ready. Cost for the part was a little over $20.00.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders: 'I am running for president'
rscalzo replied to Len_A's topic in Lounge: Off Topic Discussion
My town did that with MSNBC. They left years before their agreed on contract allowed and told the town if you don't like to , sue us. The same ones that whine about the "worker". They screwed the taxpayer royally and could care less. The entire company was staffed with a bunch of whiny kids who wouldn't put themselves out for anyone. Everyone there was a "me first" type. -
The CV was bullet proof. - They had their issues like any vehicle. FAR from bulletproof and a dog on the road. Now that the Taurus an Explorer PI's are getting some mileage under their belts, how are they doing? Anyone have any facts? - nothing that big in the way of issues but they don't have the mileage the older CV had at this point. In maybe four years or so then the true issues will surface. The AWD is being well received.

Don't mention My Touch. Henry Ford will roll over in his grave. I've had my dealer preform a repair slightly past the warranty. I was a good customer and didn't ask for it. they just did it for the good pr. Which is why i kept going back. But the comment about "how long past the expiration should a customer expect the have repairs for free? From zero to who knows. No doubt the repair itself and if it was a common issue would make the difference. I was a bit pissed that when complaining about the crappy seats in the 08 Escape and the staining, not a word was said about the TSB and the repairs approved.

They can if they hit a wall. I wonder how well his theory will work up here on small mountain roads? His comments are one reason I don't buy his "buy direct - no dealership" type of operation. He makes it sound like his cars will never need service and when it does, they will simply come to your home. How's that going to work in the city where parking is at a premium and working on a car in the road is dangerous. Or in the middle of winter? He builds interesting cars but some of his ideas are idiotic.

Adaptive Cruise Control issue: Sensor Blocked
rscalzo replied to Fords Is Funner's topic in Edge Forum
Yet the dealer won't correct an issue that was obviously present when the vehicle was sold? Most will offer some sort of short warranty on the cars they sell. As stated, Ford knows there are conditions that will cause that warning. As it happens in clear weather, could road salt have blocked the sensor? Terminals might be corroded. Is it possible to pull the connectors apart, clean them and use dielectric grease when reassembling?- 24 replies

USPS looking to replace mail carrier fleet.

Funny you should say that. I helped my postman push him from the snow last week. -
The biggest issue is when they are damaged. The most standard linear type decals could be replaced and purchased in sections. Even agencies like mine would have the remaining portions of the kits left to use when repairs were needed. On these newer total wraps, Can they be replaced in sections? If not, it could be expensive.

Just a few miles from my house they are restoring this beauty. Usually when I pass it's a foreign sports car. This was a surprise. http://www.foxsports.com/nascar/story/you-won-t-believe-what-sprint-cup-series-team-owner-rob-kauffman-drove-to-new-hampshire-012815
