25yrs
Do former employees who took a buyout get pension benefits? In Canada, employees who took the STEP option accepted a lump sum buyout including a portion for accrued pension. If the same program was created in the US it would be difficult to believe there would be any different outcome.
X NAP MILLWRIGHT
I know for EDOPP participants that you keep your vested pension benefit. Same for 100k buyout. In the first round of buyouts there was a 140k buyout for retirement eligible employees if they would give up their health benefits. All packages were basically a resignation with severance. theoldwizard
Does EE = Electrical Engineer ? For salaried employees, "buyout" implied a one time cash payment and nothing else. No pension. Others took a "special early retirement". Yes pension.

Marginal Economist
There were lots of different options. This old article - LINK - roughly describes 8 different options that were available.
Furious1Auto
I care about the future of Ford Motor Company, I keep my loyalties. I have the Ford logo tattooed on my Forearm as a show of appreciation for all they have done for me. My Fiance also has nearly 15 years in and, I am pushing her to finish her medical degree for security in the event they ever see hard times again.I wish I could have finished my career there, and I visit the plant frequently when I am home. There are allot of very good hard working people building what we drive.
