FiredMotorCompany Posted April 8, 2013 Share Posted April 8, 2013 Navy Pier, Blue Man Group. I spent a short weekend there and had a fantastic time at the show. The pier is cool. We also took a evening cruise along the shoreline at night. Very cool. I will admit I was constantly worried I'd stop at a traffic light and find out how Clark Griswold felt when he stopped for directions in East St. Louis with his Wagon Queen Family Truckster up on blocks. 2b2 Posted April 9, 2013 Share Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) congrats, Vintagesmith!!imho Chicago is the most beautiful city in the world!!( well not *quite* all parts... )& you'll be there at about the best possible time of year - all the trees should've started bloomingdepending what you like,yeah Navy Pier and, for me even more so: the "Lakefront"/Lincoln Park/LakeShoreDriveTons of Great architecture (of ALL scales)many ethnic &or gentrified neighborhoodsPIZZA!the Miracle Mile ( Michigan Ave. )the "EL" (lifesize 'Lionel' elevated trains/subway) Museums! Langston Hughes Posted April 9, 2013 Share Posted April 9, 2013 If you have family there is a free zoo in Lincoln Park, Shed's aquarium back down by Soldier field, and the LEGO store.
