jschmitt3
Ok folks - I noticed this earlier but it slipped my mind until I was reminded of it again today ... My gas tank gauge gives its first warning at 10.17 gallons (give or take a tenth of a gallon) - goes to "yellow" .... Then at 11.07 gallons (used) it goes to "red" .... ok not a huge deal .... but in doing so the gauge shows what almost looks like a "negative" bars view. then at 11.5 it goes back to yellow ....... and it is out of the "negative" ..... according to the tank's size of 13.5 gallons .... I still have 2 gallons left ... A similar behavior happened on my last tank ...... and when I ended up filling up - the gas pumped and the gas that the gauge reported that I had used were within 1/10th of a gallon (both times I've filled up) Anyone else seen this ....? Are they trying to brow beat us into never letting the tank get below 2.5 gallons ?
xgman
What I've seen is that these new tanks are tiny compared with the older model and even the gauge is much smaller.
