Spring
It would appear that our local union chairman is in collusion with the company! With this new FPS group leader program, the chairman is using it as a thinly veiled means to eliminate any competition he might have. Disagree with the chairman, declare you're running for a union position against him and you will be removed from your job! You cannot receive double penalty (double jeopardy) under the law but you will get a double penalty under Tim Rowe's administration! Yet the vast majority of elected and appointed reps are getting group leader pay and very few, if any of them, could actually do the job! They're knowingly engaging in disparate treatment which is prohibited under the contract! They're changing the contract language but refusing to let us vote on it! And if you call the Region or National Ford department, they tell you "to go through the chairman". Seriously? I guess that's what the NLRB and Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General (Labor Racketeering office) is for! These buffoons had better remember that retaliation is still against the law!Collusion is an agreement between two or more parties, sometimes illegal and therefore secretive, to limit open competition by deceiving, misleading, or defrauding others of their legal rights, or to obtain an objective forbidden by law typically by defrauding or gaining an unfair advantage. https://www.facebook.com/groups/171340772996516/https://twitter.com/maryspring

Spring
We have a tentative local agreement......and only the highlights are going to be published and available in the plant at this time.....Why? What are they hiding? They don't want to give the membership the ENTIRE agreement so they can make an INFORMED decision when it comes time to vote....they want to wait until September 14 (a Saturday when we're working 10.7 and busting our butts) and go over it and have us vote IN THE PLANT on September 16th! Why?! They want to go over it so they can spin it? They don't think the membership can read it for themselves? And they don't want us to have time to go over it carefully and ask questions THEY CAN'T ANSWER! Then they want us to vote on it in the plant....nothing like a little coercion...just like last time, right?! If it's such a great agreement, PUBLISH IT! Put it on the website, give it to the group leaders or make copies available at the union hall! Let it stand on its own merits! OR NOT!

cal50
OHAP needs a product commitment and the existing building chair & the musical chairs of plant manager & body shop manager (joke) does not help the plants longevity. Hopefully the upcoming elections change the course of things. The current building chair should have been gone with Lorain.
