Lucifer
Apparently, the Fusion Hybrid and Energis employ some sort of active noise cancelling audio system. Does anyone know if the active noise control (sound dampening system) is always "on" even if the sound system is turned off? Other than the following reference in the fuse table: 33 20A1 Radio, Active noise control I can't find any information on it. Please don't chastise me for posting this question in other forums too. I can't stop myself, its in my nature to sin!
akirby
It uses the audio system speakers for the cancellation so it probably won't work unless the stereo is on. I know pulling the radio fuse deletes it.
Toz
Actually pretty sure the ANC is always on. When we took our test drive I left the sound system off just so I could gauge cabin noise. As quiet as the cabin was the ANC must have been on even with the sound system turned off.

Only way to really know for sure is to drive it with the stereo off, with and without the fuse. Pulling the fuse (33 I think) definitely turns it off. hybridbear
It is always on. The FFH is incredibly quiet inside.
bmajical
We were really impressed with how quite it was in the test drive, I'll gave to try pulling the fuse just to see the difference.
