ETIS thinks my fusion energi is a Transit Connect

It is odd that the North American Fusion's VIN defaults to the Transit on ETIS

The Chinese built Mondeo VIN shows as a Mondeo on ETIS

Yeah. Based on Jeff_h's response on the 'What is free website to track VIN' thread it sounds like if you put in an unknown VIN, it will tell you. If you put in a known VIN that hasn't been build yet, it defaults to a Transit Connect with a build date of 11/31/2002.

There are only 30 days in November. ;)

Even after the car is built it will still say Transit Connect.

As stated above and on several other threads about this:

ETIS is European and does not have Fusion info. Since the Mondeo is, it correctly identifies it.

Just ignore the Transit label, the rest is correct, including parts lists, build date, and recall info. It is nice they haven't eliminated this access, it seems not designed to be public facing.
