ChrisFra
Went to the Ford ETIS site (www.etis.ford.com) and put in my VIN. It says it's for a 2002 Transit Connect. What's up with that??
Hydro
same here. Neither of those links work for me, I can't even get my window sticker to show up and gets built Monday. Edited December 15, 2013 by Hydro
ReadySetSmoke
The same with me. I was told that the 2002 Transit Connect is the default car no matter what you VIN you put in. S
murphy62
The same with me. I was told that the 2002 Transit Connect is the default car no matter what you VIN you put in. S It's the default when you put in a Fusion VIN. ETIS is a european web site and the Fusion is not sold in Europe.
MKII
It is odd that the North American Fusion's VIN defaults to the Transit on ETIS The Chinese built Mondeo VIN shows as a Mondeo on ETIS Mondeo 2013-, 2.0L EcoBoost (250PS) VIN Number: LVSHFFAC3DF572621 Primary Features Build Date: 25.08.2013 Vehicle Line: Mondeo 2013- Body Style: 4 Door Saloon Version: Series 20 Engine: 2.0L EcoBoost (250PS) Transmission: 6-Speed Automatic - 6F Mid-Range Drive: LHD FWD Emission: Stage IV Emissions Air Conditioning: Dual Zone Auto Temp Control A/C Territory: (+)"CHN" Interior Colour: Charcoal Black Interior Interior Fabric: Salerno Leather 2 Changan Plant Build (China) Edited December 15, 2013 by MKII
ChrisFra
Yeah. Based on Jeff_h's response on the 'What is free website to track VIN' thread it sounds like if you put in an unknown VIN, it will tell you. If you put in a known VIN that hasn't been build yet, it defaults to a Transit Connect with a build date of 11/31/2002.

Even after the car is built it will still say Transit Connect.
shaggy314
As stated above and on several other threads about this: ETIS is European and does not have Fusion info. Since the Mondeo is, it correctly identifies it. Just ignore the Transit label, the rest is correct, including parts lists, build date, and recall info. It is nice they haven't eliminated this access, it seems not designed to be public facing.
