A better way to search inventory on a national or regional basis

There should be a better way search dealers inventory on a national or regional basis. Also among one of the criteria in the search filter, the different engine options and body styles should be available to narrow the results.

Regional search is already available as well as filters on trim body style engine drivetrain interior color exterior color and other options.

 

Go to the ford website, pick a vehicle and select search dealer inventory. Then choose the regional inventory tab.

I've tried with the 2014 Transit Connect and theres no option to filter engines you only get 4 cyl, and both engines available for that vehicle are 4 cylinder, the 2.5 L 4 cyl duratec, and the optional 1.6 L 4cyl. Ecoboost. Also you can't filter between LWB or SWB.

Your local dealer can do a regional search on any options.

Thanks for the heads up, and I have asked for it. However its a bit dissapointing not being able to do it directly in Fords website, because two of tha min features for the vehicle are missing.

Yes it would be nice to be able to do this ourselves when we are not ready to talk with a dealer yet.

If you build a vehicle on Ford.com once you get to the vehicle summary page typically (during their working hours) a chat box will pop up asking if you need any assistance. They can and will locate the exact vehicle you want. It may not be your exact request but it'll work in a pinch.
