fdugger
I have been contacting my dealership about an F150 Limited which was ordered in Jan (vin provided on Feb 16) but they have said that they don't have any information other than the vin. Does anyone know how long it takes to build and ship?
Pioneer
Usually 6 to 8 weeks for an F150 order, but the Limited has been going through a batch and hold process during its launch. Some people who ordered last year still haven't received theirs. If you post your VIN, I could take a look for you.

Pioneer
Your truck was built on February 23rd but has not been released to ship. ETA to your dealer, according to the system, is between April 25th and May 1st. Even with a batch and hold, I don't see why it would sit at the assembly plant 2 months. The only way to get more information is to have your dealer contact their zone representative to the assembly plant to find it why it's not shipping. fdugger
Thank you very much Pioneer. I spoke with my dealership this morning and they seemed surprised at the update. They thought it was still in production. They said they would contact the zone rep, but we'll see. I wonder if the reason for the long hold is that it is coming to Hawaii and they are waiting for a full shipment to launch since it all has to come over on boat. fuzzymoomoo
They might not wait for a full production run of trucks to Hawaii, but from other plants as well. Shorter wait that way.

I didn't look up the ordering dealer. Now the ETA makes sense.
fdugger
Thank you, again, Pioneer. I thought that this might be a reason for the delay. Everything takes longer to get here.
