VIP
We bought a 2018 Ford Explorer on clearance in March of 2019 with the 202 package and moonroof options. We investigated the light kit with the dealer, and while they could order the part, the labor to do it at the dealer was expensive, and they were not sure how to do it as they have never done it before. We went to an car audio store and installed blue light strips under the front dash and under the rear seats, which have worked out very well. We also added an amplifier to the XLT sound system for better sound. Maybe do speakers later. If they had a Limited available, we would have picked one out. This way we made the changes I would have wanted that came with the Limited.

And you probably spent a lot more than it would have cost compared to buying the Limited in the first place that would have included more standard equipment and features. VIP
It was $500 for the lighting and the amplifier, so it was not that much. It was a leftover clearance at a good price, and they did not have any Limited's available. For that model year, there was not the disparity in cost like the 2020's have now, and if they had one, it would be the best choice. Also bought the front lower chrome on the front bumper and had a body shop put on the trim. As you can tell, I really did like the Limited....but happy with the mods and the car we bought, in the color and price we paid.
