  1. It was $500 for the lighting and the amplifier, so it was not that much. It was a leftover clearance at a good price, and they did not have any Limited's available. For that model year, there was not the disparity in cost like the 2020's have now, and if they had one, it would be the best choice. Also bought the front lower chrome on the front bumper and had a body shop put on the trim. As you can tell, I really did like the Limited....but happy with the mods and the car we bought, in the color and price we paid.
  2. We bought a 2018 Ford Explorer on clearance in March of 2019 with the 202 package and moonroof options. We investigated the light kit with the dealer, and while they could order the part, the labor to do it at the dealer was expensive, and they were not sure how to do it as they have never done it before. We went to an car audio store and installed blue light strips under the front dash and under the rear seats, which have worked out very well. We also added an amplifier to the XLT sound system for better sound. Maybe do speakers later. If they had a Limited available, we would have picked one out. This way we made the changes I would have wanted that came with the Limited.
  3. While I would enjoy the 3.0 option on other Explorers, I also am curious about the 3.3 that is in the PI standard non hybrid model. Maybe an option for the XLT models? Curious why they do not offer the 2.3 eco boost in the PI bee models. With the 10 speed transmission, maybe equivalent gas mileage?
  4. I wish they would offer the 3.3 V6 option for the general public on the Explorer, at least on the XLT line. Curious why the 2.3 eco boost is not offered on the PI vehicles. Is there a long term heavy duty issue?
  5. I think you must select the 202 package to get the Sport Appearance option.
