Will the order guide be posted here on 7/30?  Have been waiting for this for awhile to see what changes there are from the 21 explorer.

I placed an order yesterday for a 22. This is my first time ever ordering a car. I see that in September scheduling begins. Does that just mean how they decide to prioritize and in what order they build the vehicles? And then in November they actually start building them?

Dealers assign priority codes to determine the order in which orders are selected for scheduling. Retail priority codes are 10-19, with 10 being the most desirable. Stock orders use priority codes 20-80. Dealers can upload a customer's retail order information along with a copy of the customer's Driver's License and signed Buyer's Order to the COVP (Customer Order Verification Program) which grants expedited scheduling and incremental allocation to approved orders.

As noted above, 2022MY Explorer scheduling starts on 09/23/2021 with a Job #1 Date (Production Start) on 11/02/2022. Orders must meet existing commodity restraints at the time in order to get scheduled.

Additional information is available in the Ford Vehicle Ordering & Scheduling Process forum at https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/63667-ford-vehicle-ordering-scheduling-process/

Thanks for the info! I did notice on my invoice paper that it mentioned a priorty code and it did say 10.  And they did ask me to sign that form and send my license over.  So cross fingers I get it before Christmas.

I was looking over the order guide again and it says they removed the second row center floor console.  That would be a little disappointing I think.  Seems like an odd thing to remove.  Would would go there instead?

Fingers crossed for you ST8.  I placed my order for a 21 in April and its set to finally go into production September 1.  The 22's may be, and hopefully will be better.

Very nice!  I placed my order one day after you for a MY22.  Fingers crossed things stay on schedule; I've been reading of some pretty long wait times on the forum.

Last week, I placed an order for a 2022 Ford Explorer XLT with the Sport Appearance Package in Forged Green.

I received a confirmation e-mail from Ford confirming my order and it read “Your vehicle order is one of the early orders for the 2022 Explorer” and informed me that I will be updated along the process.

I attached a photo of the color on the Timberline model.

What was turn around time on your explorer order?  When did you order?  order my wife a King Ranch explorer two weeks ago and was trying to get an idea.

Well I ordered mine back in April and it just got to my dealer yesterday.  So roughly 4.5-5 months.  I am not a patient person by any means and I almost bought 2-3 different cars in that time but after seeing the ST again in person really happy I waited.

I will say this forum and checking the order tracker added to some ease/excitement in waiting.

On 8/14/21 I placed an order for a 2022 Timberline.  I think it will do terrific in the Minnesota winters. Too bad Ford does not offer the 12" sreen :( in the Timberline.

I look forward to it, and really like how ford included a Torsen rear diff.

My wife ordered a Timberline today and I ordered a F350 in August. Now instead of just me checking my email every 10 minutes waiting for something from Ford we both will be. Wonder which one will be delivered first.

Explorer for sure lol.

One thing to note for the 2022 Explorer Timberline, there is an option code 52X you can have the dealer add to your order. This eliminates the auto start/stop feature. My wife  does not like the auto start/stop, see we opted for the 52X code.

My 2022 F350 Tremor 6.7 just got scheduled for week of october 18th, I was notified last thursday with a vin from Ford. Ordered 7/13. But Ford has a host of commodity issues for the super duties.

Good luck with both orders!
