Coreace
I am looking for recommendation on the best type of tonneau cover for a 6 1/2 foot bed. I dont plan to have to remove it often. Thanks for the thoughts.
MadManMoon
We've had an Extang tri-fold tonneau cover on our 2011 and 2019 F-150s, and they've held up great. Easy installation, quick to fold up or remove if needed, and relatively affordable at ~$500.

Stangman1990
I'm in Canada and considering the Bakflip MX4. I had the Ford tri-fold on my 2018, but really hated that you had to lift the panel before closing the tailgate or the rubber flap would get crushed. I believe the new Bakflip eliminates that problem.
HarrisonIII
I have a tri fold hard cover on my 6 1/2 bed. I love it! i paid like over $1,000 for it but it is sturdy, I love hiding and locking up my junk! I must say I have a 2022 on order and I am going to try the roll away one this time. It looks easier to manage and I have a co worker that has one and loves it!
TrucknTrailer
The hard covers can weigh 70lbs. If your trying to maximize payload you might want to look at the soft covers there about 30lbs. Either hard or soft quite a few options made in the US.

So far it is not a concern for weight with my current trailer. My new 2022 has a better capacity then my 2019. I have the tri fold ford dealer installed on my 2019 and it has been good but have concerns with the fabric wearing out over time.
