22MY F150 King Ranch

Recommended Posts

Arggghhhh!!  Been on order since Sept. Started as 21MY, then 10/27 order was "punted" to 22MY, when I finally received email from Ford.

For the past four weeks my sales person has told me it was a priority 9!  He told me his manager said "Everyone wants their priority changed, but it doesn't make any difference, if parts are not available".

Unscheduled-Clean, means no commodity issues, Correct?

I am thinking because I am X-Plan, have collected a couple more $2k discount and they committed to 0% financing, they may be prioritizing other orders over mine.

Does this sound accurate?

No.  Your order doesn't get any higher or lesser priority due to the discounts you receive.

He is partially correct - Priority makes no immediate difference if there are commodity issues, but when things come back in line it will give you your place in line.  More or less default priority is 19.  The actual best your dealer can set it to is priority code 10.  Any single digit (less than 10) priority code can only be set (with special permission) by a regional manager or someone actually from Ford corporate - not just by asking xyz salesperson guy.

Unscheduled-Clean means none of that.  Unscheduled-Clean means - first you are unscheduled obviously, and second the clean just means you have a good order in the system - meaning the salesperson didn't try to put in some bogus code for packages or options that aren't actually available.  It says absolutely nothing about the availability of parts, or running/not running of plants or microchip holds or anything.  I have no idea how you got that impression.

You are going to have to wait just like everyone else the rest of the United States.  It is a terrible time in history to be waiting on a new vehicle from any manufacturer.

Thank you for the clarification on the "Clean" details. Not sure where I got the wrong definition.

I ordered a lot of "high tech" options knowing about chip shortages, etc. I expected it would take some time.

I am trying to understand the process and stay on top of it. I am generally not the "Squeaky Wheel" , would just like to do anything I can to keep them from moving in front of me :)

If I understand correctly, priority 19 -10 is assigned by the dealer. I do not understand how it moves to a lower #. Is that a manual process by the dealer?  Does it have to be a 10 before it can be changed to a 2?

Thanks again for you information and all you do.

It doesn't have to be a 10 first.  There is no "process" to get it moved to a lower number, because that isn't something that happens regularly - no matter what other people on the internet are telling you.  There typically has to be something significant that happens, like in the case of the 2021 Broncos orders that got sold out and turned into 2022 orders.  Or lets say your vehicle was already on its way but a train derailed and your truck was destroyed.  You would automatically get single digit priority in cases like that.  I wouldn't hold my breath.  I am tracking a few other orders that do actually have single digit priority and those orders are waiting forever too.  All dealerships are part of a large region of dealerships in your area of the state and the people who oversee those regions can make those type of adjustments as I understand it.

Ford zone mgrs have been assigning priority 2 on the oldest orders to try and push them through or in special cases like the Bronco fiasco.  Otherwise it’s 10-19 set by the dealer.  Sometimes they’ll assign a 1 but that’s usually some special circumstance where a vehicle had to be rebuilt.
