Mefly2
Should I be concerned about putting a topper on a 22 F350 ccsb 4wd ... if there is now only about 1 inch clearance between the cab and the garage door frame? How much higher will a cab high topper sit at the rear of the truck? If you already have a cab high mounted, what is the distance from the top of your topper to the ground ? I can see that the rear of the new 350s on the road generally slope down on the front...
GCD
Mine with 18" all season tires is 78 1/4" to the top of my Leer cab high cap on my stone driveway. The truck cab measures the same. I have the removable racks on my cap. The mounts sit a half inch higher with racks off.
Mefly2
Thank you GCD; I am right at that limit. We have been told that the Leer and Century are the same. May I ask which model you chose and why?
sarge144
I purchased a topper from A.R.E. for my F250 - the two black antennas on the back of the cab actually stick up higher than the topper. Not sure how much higher the F350 would be in the back end compared to an F250. Hope that helps.
Mefly2
The specs in the brochure for Super Duties shows that the F350 is slightly shorter. Great picture, thanks.

Also got the sliding, removable front window for ability to clean. So far I'm very pleased with it. https://www.leer.com/truck-caps/cab-high/100xq-truck-cap
4thTimer
I would expect the topper manufacturer could give the spec on the height above the bed rails. Then measure that against your 350 front and rear.
Mefly2
4T ... that does not take into account the sloped attitude of the F350 ... therein lies my question for those who have a 350 with a topper.

I was looking for this exact information and am happy to see my truck will fit with the shell.
Mefly2
With the aid of a level and laser ... the back of the bed on an F350 is 1 1/4 inches higher than the front of the bed. Some garage door openings will NOT accommodate the height.
Mefly2
We got our topper yesterday - a Century / Leer ... we have 1/8" to spare on a standard door opening. I can trim off about 1/4" on the flexible trim seal of the door opening. So, the clearance will then be 3/8"
