KonevTremor
Hello All, I was surprised to see that the super duty does not have a 110V outlet in the bed of the truck. Has anyone installed one in the bed? I assume you can add one since the truck is already equipped with an inverter and 110V outlet in front dash.
NH_Bulldog
I am sure it can be done, but for what purpose? The inverter is only 400 watts and is only active with the truck in accessory mode or running. Personally I would have more use for a 12v power port in the bed. If wired direct to the battery and/or through the upfitter switches, and with appropriate sized wire, you could use a bigger inverter plugged into the power port to run larger items, control whether it is powered all the time and have the option of using the port for a portable air pump if needed. IA Diver
I have been installing Inverters under my front seat for the past few trucks. I use them to charge batteries and run small power tools. I mount them inside so they are out of the weather.
