CCrider
I imagine this question has been addressed in some form but I am debating the Soft vs hard rollup for a super duty. The cost is not the issue what is holding me up is the diameter of the rolled cover. I plan to travel with a full size Harley in the bed and I am not sure if the hard cover is going to be SIGNIFICANTLY larger and reach into the bed vs the soft X15 when rolled up. Anyone know what the roll diameter of the X15 (or similar) is when rolled up? Thanks Chris
rick johnson nm
My VANISH Roll-up Cover made by Agri-cover, Inc, rolls up to about a 6" roll that barely overhangs the front bed rail. Sturdy also after 4 1/2 years and removed every summer to load my slide-in truck camper.
CCrider
Thanks that is helpful. I need every inch and the Harley front fender height would make contact with the roll so I have to allow for clearance.
NH_Bulldog
The hard roll is inside the bed rails and takes up 6” or more of bed space with no give. The soft roll is above the rails and can be squished if necessary, but really has no impact on bed length. I previously had a hard tri-fold that I could just disconnect and remove, but that left the bed open on trips once the cargo was taken out. I currently have a Truxedo TruXport and does everything I want and need Edited March 22 by NH_Bulldog
