Rhino299
2010 MKT - Replaced LH Blend Door actuator and performed door calibration by pulling fuse 15, did not correct issue. Start vehicle, A/C on, set to 65. Full hot air from driver side, passenger side cold. After 45 seconds driver side goes to full cold. Is there a way to do a full HVAC system reset? Multitask
When was the last time you replaced the coolant? Being a 2010, and if it's been a while.... might want to .... although it might be old enough to need/require the newer coolant....
Andrew L
What you describe sounds like the Blend Door Actuator but since it was replaced, I did some searching online and someone suggested check the compressor and check for leaks in the AC lines. It's possible that could be causing your issue.
Rhino299
It’s definitely something electrical like a climate control module if there is one. A/C is cold on passenger side as soon as car is started and full hot drivers side. That’s why I’m ruling out A/C components like compressor, which was changed bout a year ago. Eventually air goes full cold on drivers side after like a minute of being started. My guess is some control module is commanding drivers side full hot initially. So I was hoping there is some kind of Full HVAC System electrical reset I could try. Battery disconnect does not have any impact. I have AllData subscription for vehicle, couldn’t find anything to reset HVAC system.
