Tim Vildis
Recently purchased a 2024 F250 4 by 4 with the standard 6.7 diesel. Never owned a diesel before and have seen many videos on oil bypass is a must / waste of money and fuel additives same responses. The truck will not be seeing heavy pulling, just boats, plowing and regular truck stuff. I do want to keep truck long term and just looking for some advice from experienced owners. Thanks in advance for replies. BTW I live in northern Ontario where the winters are cold.
dbkupr
Tim, congrats on the new truck. I got my first diesel in 2021 a Ford 6.7. I use Archoil for my fuel additive. Check out Power Stroke Tech Talk on YT. He is wealth of knowledge about this engine.

road turtle
I'm running Opti-Lube XPD and have switched to Blue Def Ultimate, which seems to have less of an issue with crystalizing.
CobraDriver
For what it is worth - I have around two dozen diesels on the place of every size & make & age. I have diesel fuel delivered by the truckload and have NEVER used a fuel additive of any kind over a 50+ year period of time. Have never had a fuel related issue. I will say, however that I use Co-op fuel exclusively. Comes from an oil field in Southern IL IIRC.
