This two page letter is from Shelby American's Ken Miles to A.C. cars. 

In the letter, Miles writes about how the Cobra could be improved upon by making them into "Daytona" spec. cars in a similar fashion to the Ferrari GTO.

I  knew a bit about Ken Miles as a teenager reading Road and Track and more recently when I watched Ford vs Ferrari.  Knowing that Hollywood tends to embellish the characters in movies, reading his letter reinforces my impression of him as a competition genius.  Around that time I also was a fan of Mark Donahue who also died in a racing accident.  My other hero back then was golfer "champagne" Tony Lima who also perished in an accident.  Those were memorable times and I could not imagine a better time in which to grow up.
