Ok, this could be a stretch but here's my take on this...
Volvo's losses are almost entirely related to currency exchange problems. The recent announcements that Ford is going to keep more plants open in the US leads me to believe that Volvo's are going to produced in the US..and here's why:
- Can balance the currency problem which isn't going away for the long term
- Can build Volvo into what they had hoped for Jaguar which is a large, upscale brand the BMW/Merc/Audi but in terms of Volume..NOT REAR WHEEL, HIGH PERFORMANCE CARS because that takes away from what Volvo is all about...
Thank god we're keeping Volvo and being that JLR must have ties to Ford for probably the next 4-6 years for engines what AM is really doing is cleaning up the balance sheet to make Ford investment grade and sucking the waste and nonsense out of the company.
FORD IS A BUY!
