2011 Raptor vs 2010 Is select-shift worth waiting for?

Thanks for the response. I went ahead and ordered a 2011 mostly for the select-shift. The wait is going to kill me though. -
Could you give me any info on when/where 2011 Raptors will be built?

I ordered a Blue-Flame 2011 Raptor the middle of last week-- I'm hoping first week of Jan.? It's going to be a long wait!

Might be able to get a deal on a 2010 exactly as I want it, or should I order and wait 10 -12 wks for a 2011 with the select shift? Any feed-back?

I'm real close to buying a Raptor. The local dealer doesn't seem real inclined to deal on a 2010 plus from what I've read the new select-shift tranny would be worth the wait. Could any of you who've had a test drive give me some feed-back? Does it feel a bit like a manual? Is there anything else new on the 2011 Raptor vs 2010? Thanks

It was announced yesterday that the Ranger for N. America is no more. There will be a new Ranger for overseas, but not for here; efforts will be focused on the F-150. . . so no F-100 I'm sure.

No, I asked about when I could order a 2011 STX 4x4 Reg cab-short box-5.0, etc.

When I talked to a salesman at the local Ford dealer (Spradley Ford), I was told orders would not be taken until Nov. and earliest delivery would be late Jan. I'm thinking he didn't know what he was talking about?

I was hoping they might redo the front-end a bit. One of the reasons I'm considering a Raptor is because the front end is so much better looking! But I really don't need this much 4x4 as this will be my daily driver.

It's driving me crazy as well: I'm trying to decide if I should drop the new 5.0 in my 2002 F150-Reg-cab, stepside which currently has the 4.6 (so I could get a manual !), buy a 6.2 Raptor (love the way it looks, don't really need this much 4X4 though), or wait for the 2011s and try to order a poor-man's Raptor (so I want to know if I can order an STX with the 5.0, etc.)

Eric thanks for the e-bay info. I love the front end on the Raptor, but I'm not sure I need that much 4X4 capability. If no to the Raptor, I'm definately waiting for the 2011 model; like you it will have to last me a long time. Tony

I'm in the same boat; I was hoping to buy a 2011 F-150 this summer, and likewise was hoping (dreaming) that I could get the 5.0 Coyote in a STX 4x4, and build a poor man's Raptor. I guess I'll dig deep for a 6.2 Raptor or wait until fall? CC
