So will this last week in August (for vacation) coinside at the front part of this re-tooling down-time? Anybody have exact dates yet for this re-tooling for the 2015 trucks? I know.. I know... Everything is subject to change , but would just like to get an idea to try and plan my life.

I just heard yesterday that there is a 50th anniversary celebration at Michigan International Speedway on Friday July 11th. Being put on by MOCSEM and Onsted Kiwanis Club. Go to the MOCSEM website and maybe hit the "Events" tab and scroll to July for more details. I'm pretty sure this will be nothing like the size of the 2 other big celebrations in Charlotte and Vegas. You would have thought Ford Motor Co. would have thrown together something like the Ford 100th held at the Dearborn World HQ back in 2003. Isn't this where the Mustang history is... Michigan??? Do you really honestly believe these jackets were Free? Everything the UAW gives you is paid for by you! You know the cheap candy jar full of starlight mints you got for Christmas 3 years ago... that was gift from you to you... mine went into the garbage when I got home. The UAW bought it for you with your own money! In the past 17 years I have worked for Ford this is the 5th jacket I have received and the 1st to have union officials names on it... sorry, it isn't standard procedure! Why not have Nick pick out your next car for you too and have him put his name on the doors... same thing!

Does anybody know the name of this supplier we got our FREE jackets from? They probably aren't going to be in business long giving out thousands of free jackets. (Sarcasm) MY jacket was purchased with MY Union Dues! The only name I want embroidered on it is MINE! I didn't know there were other people's names on it until I took it out of the bag when I got home.

The cashier at Home Depot demanded to see my ID today because the name on my credit card didn't match the name on my new jacket.... she thought my name was NICK! Nick, why in the hell would I want your name on MY jacket????? It is a very nice jacket but completely ruined with these names on it!

I have just concluded a meeting with President Bob King, and I am proud to announce that we have been chosen as the next department to begin the final stages of negotiations, and not Chrysler as previously speculated. I can tell you that our negotiators have already been working hard in subcommittee meetings and they are anxious, as am I to begin intense discussions with the company and work towards a tentative agreement. I want to really extend thanks to our entire membership for being supportive and encouraging and for being patient while we waited for our turn. Well, the time is here. Just got an e-mail from Jimmy Settles saying he has been notified that Ford is next in line for negotiations instead of Chrysler.... as previously speculated.

LOL... That's the first thing I noticed about it when I picked it up... "Are the words and logos Big enough on this thing!"

For the 7.5 years I have worked at DTP it has always amazed me how many "Handicappers" we have working there. I think there are more handicapped parking spots at DTP than there are at Oakwood Hospital!
