Yeah but the thing is DTP can build everything KCAP builds, right now Ford needs two plants. The bad thing is if sales keep falling somebody will get cut. KCAP is getting all the cheap trucks NAP built, while DTP is getting more of the high end models and are taking over more of the super crews. NAP built mostly high end models til two years ago. A plant does not make much money from building a lot of cheap trucks! But DTP can also build more than just a truck, mustang sales are dropping, who knows what is going to happen, goodluck to all!

I think everybody that has transfered to a different plant has a sad story and its hard for everybody to make that move, this guy's story hit the papers and everybody wants to bash him.I'm sure if a paper wanted to interview you, you would do it too.

NAP closing, 3 shifts at DTP this summer, what happens when truck sales keep dropping, who goes then? who will lose a shift ? Dearborn or Kansas City?

Make sure you dont hire that attorney! I deal with a deadbeat mom that changes jobs every other month and constantly gets it reduced.

I dont think Ford will get the numbers they are looking for with the buyouts,I would be shocked if they do, I think they will get rid of alot of older folks that can retire. It'll be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

I'm not a tax expert, but all the money you pay in taxes with your buyout, wouldnt you get alot of it back at tax time in Feb. or Mar...which ever month you file........ :shrug:

somebody with 10 yrs and 55 yrs old gets $140,000 and somebody 20 yrs and 49 yrs old gets $100,000 ?????......sounds like the union looked out for ya
