My friend, I watched it and everyone there and everyone I know that has seen it knows it was intended to be a subtle jab at Palin. It definately crossed the line. I can guarantee a lot of women will be offended.

He's just cut and pasting crap he read on the left wing hate blogs, they don't worry about the truth over there. When I see a post like skilled 1's, I picture some guy sitting in front of his computer... eyes glazed over in a moonie like stare quietly chanting ... change....change....change.... change.....

It was clearly a sexist joke but it does show how biased the media is and just how far some liberals are willing to go to make apologies for this guy. My wife was shocked when she heard him say it. Sarah Palin has the Obama camp rattled and he's starting to make a lot of mistakes. If you think it wasn't planned then how do you explain the other "lipstick" joke when Biden was introduced today? I'd be willing to bet Palin gives him a jab about it later this week when she does her interview on ABC.

There are a lot of cpl's in this country and every time another state adopts "shall issue" language we hear the same fears that you have described. In every case it has proven to be false. There are quite a few legal concealed weapons out there, you don't realize it because... they're concealed.... 155,000 in MI alone. CPL holders not only are far less likely to be charged with any kind of criminal offense than the general public but they are also half as likely to be involved in unjustifiable homicides as the police are even though there are about an equal number of criminals shot each year by citizens as police. The incident you described is actually what happens most of the time, when a criminal realizes that the intended victim isn't an unarmed helpless individual they usually have second thoughts. In your case you have decided that the man was just a homeless man out panhandling....and he may well have been. I know quite a few people that have permits and I don't know anyone that "wants" to shoot someone. In fact my experience has been exactly the opposite of that , CPL holders typically avoid confrontations that the average joe wouldn't. A person that goes through the background checks and training classes it takes to get a CPL isn't the type of person likely to commit a crime.

I too watched that, lets remember that Bob Woodward isn't exactly an impartial witness here, he's also trying to sell a book. But either way, the fact is Obama was wrong... McCain was right... and at that time the war was not going well and the fact is that Obama agreed with the guys who had screwed things up...

I think McCain can do it because he isn't beholden to the enviromental lobby like the Democrats. Obama has never gone up against his own party and you have to believe that somehow this time he will.

When Bill Clinton changed the way the CPI was calculated he argued that Americans had changed their buying habits.... there is some truth to that. Bottom line is that during the 70's the price of all goods and services was spiraling upward, today most of the rise is due to the rapid rise in gas prices and the impact that has on food prices etc...nearly all of this rise has taken place since the Democrat do-nothing congress was elected, although I think calling them the do-nothing congress is a bit of a misnomer... they have done considerable harm but they're trying to get their candidate elected.

She did in fact deploy the National Guard to help out with forest fires... The fact is the only thing Obama has ever run is his mouth...

Actually in the US if you remove one relatively small demographic from the statistics then the US rate falls dramatically.

Ahh... you must have been watching CNN.... Fact is there were lots of protesters in Denver, there were 100 arrested tuesday and I believe about half that number wednesday. Denver kept the protesters farther away from the convention hall, had a detention hall set up for them and used liberal (no pun intended ) amounts of tear gas.

You need to check your facts on that....

And then... Obama still wouldn't admit he was wrong about the troop surge....even though "it worked better than anyone thought it would".... well, John McCain was the one that said we needed to put more troops in.... Obama said it won't work.

The only problem with that is that it's really a vote for Obaaama. The two party system needs to change but it won't get changed in the general election, it'll get changed in the primaries. Once it gets to the general election it's too late.

You know, every four years we listen to politicians tell us what they are going to do for us and once they're elected none of it happens. The reason is congress, Obama has only ever worked with the Democrats in congress and has very limited experience at that, most of the time he's been a senator he's been out campaigning for president. McCain has a long record of working with Democrats and Republicans to get things done, look at the bills he's gotten passed, nearly every one has a Democrats name on it as well as his. The truth is that Obama is old style politics, his platform looks like Jimmy Carters and we know how well that worked out ... don't we?

I wish someone could point to something Obama has done that qualifies him to be president???

Correction, very few "liberals" knew anything about Sarah Palin. Ah yes, I heard Obaaama himself making this claim ... that running for president qualifies you to be one... Biden is well known but he has been wrong on just about every foreign policy decision I can think of.

The discussion wasn't about some restrictions or no restrictions, there are more gunlaws on the books than anything I can think of. The Democratic platform calls for a ban not a restriction. Depending on which bill they decide to advance ( there are quite a few in congress already) some of these bills ban all kinds of firearms. According to the DC gun law about 75% of the handguns in this country are "machineguns" and are banned.

So if you own a company and that company pays taxes, those aren't taxes you're paying??? but if it pays you a dividend then those are taxes you're paying???and I suppose that if you decide to move that company to Mexico then the government won't miss the taxes you're not paying? I guess I just don't get it....
