our dealership just announced that it will be closing at the end of this month. we have been bought out by ford motor company and a competing dealer. the store is in a western suburb of chicago. the dealership is closing because of our location. our store has out performed the competing dealer in every statistical category for 20 years. i.e. customer satisfacton, sales volume, service work etc... The only thing ford cares about right now is the dirt and location of the stores that are staying open. if the dealership in question is a stand alone point with a less desireable location. they will choose to back the competing dealer with a better location over the dealer with the better resume every time. end of story.

In a great PR move, Ford should take the last Taurus ever built and drive it around america until it can't run. Get 300, 400, 500K miles out of the car. Let it stand as the last statement of such a great car. WE CAN BUILD A QUALITY CAR. Make it a qaulity statement on how your building your vehicles. What a great ending for such a work horse.

I wanna know who gave the OK to change the antenna on the 07 Fusions. It's so nasty looking it makes me wanna puke. The car has great lines and stellar quality. Then they killed one of the best things they had going by plopping that god awfaul black stubby piece of crap on the roof. Nice Work Ford. I lose more and more confidence that this company is capable of turning it's self around with every decision they make in regards to product.

If your looking for a good dealer in Chicago my experiences with Oakfield Ford in Villa Park have been terrific. Paul the service manager has been the best. The service team in the back has always been more than willing to help in any way possible. From fixing a trans on my wifes Escape in time for us to take it on vacation to free car washes. The owners Jack and John are always present, and in my experience have been more than willing to step in and fix a potential problem or beef with a customer. I've only purchased my wifes Escape there, but the sales staff was fair in pricing and very knowlegable.

The dealership I work for in a suburb of Chicago is doing very well with the Fusion. We sell everyone that we get our hands on. Every dealer we talk to about a dealer trades wants one back or doesn't have any to give back. that usually means that the vehicle is in high demand else where. i see just as many new fusions on the road as I do new civics. the way things are going is very promising.

I would love to see Ford come out with some LED dash board and instrument cluster gauges. We've had the same green look for what seems like an eternity. Just make it look sexy!!!!! Because sex sells.
