exactly! we need a voice and say in all international things/people. and for one if u choose to screw off and do drugs and get drunk ONJ, terminate them. old model needs to be thrown out the window. the workers (ones that come in every day and do the best they can) need the UAW to help protect their jobs by weeding bad people out, etc

enough with the history lesson, i do know it well. let me ask u what henry did with workers who got plastered(drunk or high u pick) then returned to work ? um they prolly got fired...history is full of lesson not learned. beside the lessons of the 30's and 40's are not relevent today, we have a totally different society, people look at these vastly different then 85 years ago, some good and some bad, i know. btw henry(who was a good ol wise man...God rest his soul) also thought hitler would win.... he was a mortal man like any of us, he also made mistakes....we all do....but none the less, the UAW, if it does not change how it does business will not be here in 40 years. dont get me wrong, im all about being union, and sticking together and helping each other, but i dispise helping someone who WONT help himself (lazy drunks and or druggies..ETC) we need a frsh perspective and face change at the UAW, and it starts with us members.

i agree, however if they dont change soon, we wont have a UAW. i think the deadbeats u see on tv drinking and then going back to work and smoking weed etc. should be fired on the spot, get rid of em, that is one thing wrong with union. if u do a good job, and care , u should be taken care of not the deadbeat .....oh well will see what happens with RTW coming to rest of the states(already in mich)

i know this.... UAW has declined, what is IGmetal membership? (ahem)its increasing. maybe since this is a new day and we are under different pressure the UAW should change their mentality ? hmm 1960's wont work today. i do love what the union stands for, i just dont like our current leadership and how they strong arm their own agenda.... IGmetal is doing it right, IBEW is doing it right, we have a public perception problem among other issues, and we should deal with them....im ok with not getting a raise...but give me stock options, give me a voucher for a new car, etc...think outside the box.....etc.... wish we had a union that was concern with not only numbers but doing the best job and putting the best on the table first.

first of all, they didnt announce it week b4 neg. and it wasnt a ploy! ford cant be as profitable as they want with focus /cmax so its going to mexicali, so what, LET IT GO, ..... u must be a special kind of STUPID eh ? does that make u a bigger person ? being able to say STRIKE, good luck!!! u can strike all u want but when ur replaced with workers that will do your job for half ur pay and be happy about it, that is not the best option, but by all means go for it ive heard all your talk before, the company is the enemy and we hate all workers, the 60's mentality is gone, time to move up to the new century

people(ahem) should not use the S word too callously , cause it should be the absolute last option, both sides general lose, one side usually loses less, but its not good either way that being said, there wont be a strike. and we will share in the companys profit. UAW is and should be a 'partner' to ford/gm/fca when company does well, so should we, and also vice versa. the strong German unions should be seen a good model here.
