  1. Amazing. The sheep actually commend Toyota for their actions instead of blasting them for producing the pieces of shit that are rotting to pieces. Does Toyota have to burn their families before they will think poorly of them...?
  2. Huh. Been beating the living piss out of my '07 Ram 1500 4x4 on the pipeline here in Jasper. and it is holding up just fine. I drive on roads (right of way actually; calling it a road is a stretch...) that make an ATV flinch and it's 'inferior' suspension is holding up just fine... Lots of other Dodges on the project too...no suspension failures or brake issues. Guess we're just 'driving them around'...
  3. Seems to work just fine for me. Of course I'm not using it hard at all...pipeline work is pretty easy on a truck. :shades:
  4. +1 for the Ram. 40,000 kilometers on my 2007 Ram 1500 4x4, and most of them have been hauling loads of crap over nasty rough roads. No trouble with the brakes or anything else. Good truck, despite what some say.
  5. Keep believing that. The Dodge seems to work pretty well in Alberta's oil patch where trucks get some of the hardest use on the planet... Ford needs to get it together with their powertrain or they are in trouble.
  6. You're too easy man. How's the blood pressure doing, btw? And, it's not my company. I don't get worked up about a product like you do. Back to topic. I bet any money Toyota will not wear this like Ford did. The free pass will continue; they are the current media darling.
  7. Huh. Never noticed. You are a bitter, twisted little man. Go haunt some other board that might be slightly interested in your Toyoda ass-sucking. Oh yeah, good tire selection Toyota. That's moving you forward.
  8. This might be the replacement for my sorely missed 95 Mustang...
  9. Are you kidding? The Union will hold the knife to their throats to the bitter end, then blame Ford & GM for lost jobs. Watch.
  10. There's more to brakes than just the rotor size. Calipers play a large role in braking performance; could be why the Yoda isn't as good as it's specs would lead people to believe. Got a sneaking suspicion that this truck was built around a bunch of bragging rights numbers instead of reality. Too bad a lot of saps will buy into the numbers game...
  11. What the hell, I'll chime in with my 2 cents... The 5.4 has plenty of jam; it's all about where the engine is making it's hp & torque. And trucks are heavy. They need lots of torque down low. The 5.4 3v makes it all down low and in the mid-range, and makes plenty of it. And the rating is conservative as well. It'll be interesting to see how accurate Toyota's numbers are, and to see how it pulls in the real world. The 5.4 has nothing to prove; it does the job of a hard working truck motor just fine. The new Toy, well that remains to be seen. It may surprise us all. Then again, it may not...but don't bash the current 5.4 3v. Look at how piss poor the numbers for the Ford 300 cid 6 were. I'd still love to be able to get a truck with that engine. It's not all about the numbers, and people who use their truck for anything more serious than ego boosting know that. Now that 4 speed tranny, that's another matter. Get the 6 speed already!! That will make a big difference.
  12. Like I'm not going to throw this in the face of every self-righteous, better than you attitude Toyoda owner I know. I have endured years of them looking down their noses at me because I dared to own a domestic, with them smugly reasurring each other they made a smart purchase buying their 'yoda crap. I have found Toyoda owners to be amoung the most blindly loyal owners out there, thinking they are part of a 'smart consumer' elite because they bought a Toyoda. All I can say is: enjoy your sludge. And yes, I spelled it wrong. Spelling it right would be showing too much respect.
  13. Huge difference in where you live & what you do with a truck as to what you expect or require in the vehicle. The bulk of the population lives in the cities, and the average consumer doesn't even have a clue as to what working a truck is all about. Send them to a construction site or a farm and they might change their tune...! They might not think a Ridgeline is up to the task after seeing what a real truck does during it's lifetime...!
  14. I've never been a fan of the styling of the 300, but the car itself is quite sound. And it obviously appeals to enough buyers still that a major redo isn't really necessary in my books. How many years did the 911 keep the same basic look? Worked for it. I never have understood why you have to change a good thing...
  15. What, it's ok for your beloved Chrysler Co. to be absorbed by Mercedes...? Seem to remember a lot of Mercedes vehicles carrying Nazis... Wasn't this thread about the Mustang being ready for the new Camaro & Challenger...?
