Its not always a simple reshuffle, EVERYTHING is back on the table to lose. There will not be a better deal. People need to quit pipe dreaming about COLA its gone forever as is a $8 to $10 an hour raise. Making $60k+ a year with NO skills doesn't put you in a position for big demands. What should really piss you off is that our union leaders vote themselves a raise every year.

We start ours at MAP Mon 6/11. The ones they show in the national contract all suck (especially for night shifters) so we came up with a custom one thats good for all and the co. accepted it. Its 4 crew, 2 day shifts and 2 midnight shifts all 12 hrs. 10hrs straight time 2hrs time and a half and Sunday id 10 straight 2 double. Overtime is working your Regular Day Off, first two days 12hrs time and a half 3 and 4 is 12hrs double time. Schedule is like this; Group 1 - Off 5 work 4 off 2 work 3 then start over Group two just the opposite. The days off sound good but we'll have to see how it goes but ALL plants WILL be going to this. The company saves money and runs with less heads so its win-win for them.

If you want to go, then go but don't pray for this kind of shit. If the company is that fucked up to close more plants then one day all of you could goto an empty mailbox....No more pension checks. You SHOULD be praying for the all of the plants and company to do better, just because you retire does not exempt you from going broke if the company goes bankrupt.

They should have had ads out like this a long time ago. Although it probably won't help, at least its being said.

Its a slap in the face for them (the big 3) to build cars in Mexico only to ship them here to sell, we're not good/cheap enough to build them but they expect us to buy them (while they're closing our NA plants). This corporate greed is going to be the demise of this whole country.

Its simple. If the government imposed the proper tarriffs on the jap cars, they would cost the same as ours. However the gov. IS NOT imposing tarriffs so they have the upper hand. This is where bush is full of shit. Its NOT a level playing field. Its not all our bad design either, alot of folks living on walmart wages will buy a rice burner to save a couple grand. Bush is out to destroy the middle class, and guess who the middle class IS, for the most part its us auto workers....You don't want to trust bush, he's going to screw us all real bad very soon unless of course he gets impeached first.

Whats really sad is that Ford pays $5.00 or $6.00 hr for each head to the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT who then pays $1.00 or $2.00 hr, Ford doesn't pay the employees directly.....Can you say SLAVE LABOR and CORRUPTION?..........I think they just added a shift for the Fusion, while they're swinging the axe here!

Heard from several in mgmt that we're on the closure list. I'm tired of worrying and hearing rumors, can't wait till the 23rd.

Thats a great attitude. Those of us that have good work ethics, attendance, and morals have to pick up the slack of the losers, but if we don't we'll go down in flames for sure.
