BLah BLah Blah. thats all i hear from your mouth. i have an actual degree and i make more money being a LOWLY electrician, yes i think anybody can run any business. nobody ever said you gotta be smart to be in charge. and no, anybody cant do my job, thats why we have to be licensed through the state. lets see certain medical fields, electricians and plumbers are the only jobs i can think of that you must have a license to do(im sure theres more , i just listed the ones off the top of my head). but im sure your way smarter than me just cuz you have a different opinion.l good luck with your future. i have a medical and electrician license through the state of michigan so yeah my education level shows through every time i open my mouth. and ill never be out of a good paying job

your kidding me right?? ANYBODY can sit in meetings, beg for money, and dole out decisions. i am an electrician. one of the most highly skilled jobs on the planet. so if were gettin paid for what we CAN do , why am i barely eeking by while decision makers make way more than they should. who cant live on $600,000/ year. answer NOBODY. their little pay cut just shortened up their vacation is all that did while we will have people loosing their car or houses due to ours

nice idea but one needs to be able to aquire financing before one can purchase anything that expensive. and those that have arent sharing at the moment

im not saying we need less car comercials. im saying we dont need athletes getting payed millions to wear a little ford emblem on their jersey/uniform then they drive off in their lexus

I think we also need to look at the amount of money they give to professional athletes. i understand it advertising but every other commercial on tv is a car commercial. and they add no value to a vehicle. kinda like every salaried person in all big 3 companys

We need to find out what shelby's address is and give it to every U.A.W. member, so when we all loose our jobs and homes we can all go live in his yard in out tents and campers

to my knowledge, and i dont claim to know everything. there were no jobs that came here from ypsi thet required the use of a hydrolic repairman and there is almost none left in the plant at all

thats not the arguement im trying to make. they were combined to pipefitter before they came here. they were given uaw journeyman pipefitter cards. so they stopped being hydrolic repair at the ypsi plant. so no matter how you want to look at it, we forced pipefitters to become machine repair. they sent a pyro here from ypsi who was rolled into elect as the contract states. if all things are equal why wasnt he changed to pyro ? we still had 4 or 5 at the time classified as el. but working as pyros. yet he was utilized as a electrician who knew almost nothing. when all the dust settles were gonna have something like 6 actual machine repair. the rest will be the pipefitters from ypsi doing machine repair work. how is that supposed to help us as a plant make the all important dollar? all its gonna do is give them a reason to outsource more of our jobs

these people(hydrolic repair) were made into pipefitters at ypsi and given cards before they ever stepped foot in this biulding. as they should have been per the contract. nowhere in our local or the national contract does it say you can change a pipefitter into a machine repair . and as far as past practice is concerned. i remember sitting in a townhall meeting with joel and mark willis. the both said past practice will no longer be used or tolerated at this plant. i guess that only means when it benefits us the workers huh?

once you hit 35 years you stop accruing more money /month at retirement. so at 35 years your comming all the way here and dealing with all the petty high school bullshit we have to put up with every day for something like $3/hour. you'd already be getting the rest from your pension . and minimum wage is $7+/hour . makes me want to get out of bed at the crack of dawn every day . not!!!

theres a 50-50 chance you will get a c.o.p. job. and if you cant beat whats already here senority wise you will also be heading for gen. its looking like your gonna need 94-96 senority to stay
